ALIAS | While at the Western temple, Aysu was commonly called 'Sneaky fox' or 'Mischevous wolf' due to all too common pranks she would pull almost on a daily basis as a younger occupant of the temple. She is also known as Birdsong, as it is common for her to use sound attacks and for her to use music to her advantage. AGE & BIRTHDATE | Nineteen years old + November 15th GENDER | Female SEXUALITY | Heterosexual NATION | Air Nomad CURRENT RESIDENCE | Western Air Temple but transferred to Air Temple Island by choice in order to enrich her training and technique through learning from different masters. OCCUPATION | Student at the Air Temple. ALIGNMENT | Lawful good we're the ones with no reservation HEIGHT & WEIGHT | Five foot seven inches, 125lbs HAIR | Aysu's hair is black in color, as per usual for most Airbenders. Despite the insistance of her mentors, she has chosen to leave her hair covering her arrow tattoos so that she can go into the city without having to worry about people picking fights with her for being a bender. Her hair is around the same length all around with a few longer strands in the front. EYE | Aysu's eyes are a deep golden color. ATTIRE | On a daily basis, Aysu will be wearing casual attire but almost always in the shades of red, orange, tan, and yellow that make up an airbender's attire. Sometimes her outfit is more formal for training, but this is not what she would normal wear nor does she like wearing it. A significant part of Aysu's appearance is the white eyepatch covering her right eye, which is immediately noticed but not always asked about when people first meet her. She will often have her hair down, but when she is thinking hard or training she will pull her hair back into a short ponytail. She is rather flat-chested, and the loose clothing she wears accentuates that so she has been mistaken for a boy more than once. She is agile, quick, and smart but otherwise doesn't have any other traits that aren't unique to airbenders already. WEAPONS | Aysu carries a traditional Airbender glider/staff. Some might find it a bit old-school but she loves the contraption and finds it far more superior to any plane. She does have another model much like Aang's that he receives toward the end of the ATLA series, which she mostly uses for long distance traveling if ever she does that. She also carries a pair of 'air swords', which are a weapon that appear almost to be two hilts of regular swords, but with the actual blade missing. The idea seems silly until you give the weapon to an Airbender, who bends their element through the hilt in order to create a weapon almost as deadly and far less easily broken as a regular sword. Aysu carries two of these weapons, mostly using two to maintain balance. She has not had much training with them and has really only practiced on her own and from the advice she has taken from scrolls. PET | Ita | male cat owl | companion your skin is burning at the sight of me HISTORY | Aysu was born in the Western Air temple to Airbender parents who she knew but did not socialize with like a normal child would with his or her parents. As a baby she was taken care of by her mother, but when she was old enough to begin training, she met many people at once who all made an impression on her so that they became like family. This extended family worked to help not only Aysu but also her peers learn the art of airbending. Aysu's time was not spent without a little fun; however, she would often play pranks on her elders and get in trouble for it, although these were only slight reprimands. She learned quickly in training, despite her antics. When Aysu was fifteen a group of barbarians, nomads who managed to find the upside down temple and decided to attack it. Their numbers were not many but the Airbenders did not fight and instead fled to the interior of the temple, sealing themselves off from the barbarians. Aysu became fed up with the sounds of them looting their precious items and escaped her elder and peers only to walk right into a group of barbarians. Obviously they overtook the trainee Airbender and one of them, a firebender, attacked her. She received a gastly wound over her left eye that partially blinded her and damaged the flesh. She fell unconscious after a blow by the same firebender's foot as she fell to her knees in shock. The girl was rushed to a physician but even they could not mend her wounds enough to fix her vision or the scar. She now wears an eyepatch to cover the shameful blemish. Three years after the previously mentioned incident, Aysu was informed that in the next year she would be sent to Air Temple Island. The information did not come as a shock to her. The attack had left a lasting impression on her elders and her actions had been considered unjustified, however they wanted to see if they could teach her as much as they could before finally shipping her off. Before she left, she agreed to receive her tattoos, signifying her completion of her training. She was given a year to prepare for her departure(and for her hair to grow back), and then finally started the journey to Republic City and to Air Temple Island. The intent here was to have her learn along with the older students and train to learn more discipline as a supplement to her completed training at the Western Air Temple. Aysu remains on the Island but desperately longs to go to the city and explore. She has never been in a setting like that before and wants to see the sights, but knows her training comes first. She has actually enjoyed her training and making new friendships with her new mentors and peers, and also likes to learn from and teach her peers, including sharing with them her skill in Soundbending, which she had studied on her own in the echoing canyon of the Western Air Temple.

Okay. You say "implemented the other bending styles" to change how she bends air, but... There's just no way for her to even observe other bending stances. She went from isolationist temple to island with very little time to even go watch pro-bending, let alone observe the other styles enough to even mildly change her own bending. Much like what I posted on Nightingale's character, the site canon just doesn't really lend itself to straight up learning other bending stances. The war kind of mucks that up.

Alright, I'll remove that.
The only reason I'd had that there was sort of following the same idea as when Katara got the Waterbending scroll from those pirates, however I realize now that those stances were Waterbending, something she knew well enough to know how to transition between stances and movements.
Thanks for pointing that out. I'll change it right away so you can look it over again.
Also I'm adding another weapon to her arsenal. In ATLA a weapon known as an air sword is presented and apparently an airbender can channel their element through the hilt in order to create an almost unbreakable weapon(kind of like a lightsaber, I guess). I was going to have Aysu have two of these used a bit like the Blue Spirit's as a pair of swords she carries. Just letting you know...I didn't think there would be much of a problem with that but I just wanted to make sure.

Technically, the weapons you refer to are "wind swords", but that'd just be knit-picky.
