It does have a taste of royalty to them. She wears what resembles a kimono, a light blue kimono with wavy designs with a darker blue obi. She wears this when she is required for her appearance as a princess in important events. Occasionally she will wear gowns for parties that she is required to attend. She was named Oceanus Naito, meaning Ocean Night. Oceanus grew up with mostly her father's looks with a touch of her mother's femininity. Oceanus was raised as a princess should be. She was taught manners, how to speak to others. And most importantly, how to lead her people. Then later on, her mother, the healer leader discovered that Oceanus had inherited the water bending. She was instantly given the best teacher who taught her the basics and the uses of water bending. He never taught her to fight for that was not necessary as an princess. Then she was thrusted into more lessons but this time for her other power. The power to heal. This is what she was exceptionally good at. She treasured her power to heal others. Oceanus began to work directly with her mother with leading from the healer's perspective. Once she turned sixteen, her father had began to make arrangements for a marriage to a man. A man that would eventually lead the northern water tribe when the time was right. She was given a betrothal necklace which she wears everyday. Unfortunately with the war raging on, Oceanus and the man would not be able to get married properly or spend time to get to know to each other. When Oceanus turned seventeen, a firebender had managed to slip past the northern tribe defenses and launch an attack with the intention to assinate Oceanus. Thankfully the guards had caught the firebender and Oceanus was able to escape away with one burn on her back big enough that if it was healed with water, it will still leave an scar. Her father had made an ultimate decision to send Oceanus to Republic City for safety of a neutral territory. Her fiance volunteered to go with her. However, her father needed every men for the war and allowed him to escort her to Republic City where she would meet her new butler.
