Her hair is a dark brown in color, and the brown is so dark that most people simply call it black. She usually keeps it tied up in a ponytail, only letting it hang for formal occasions. EYE | Her eyes are sharp and large. The blueish grey of her eyes have been compared to cold steel. ATTIRE | Despite being a princess, Ki Hye dresses like a militant’s son more often than not. She will at times wear formal clothing, such as hanfus, tanzhuang and changshan. Unlike her brother, Ki Hye has never been caught in a casual robe. Her clothing is always sharp and masculine, emitting a sophisticated aura. She never wears clothing meant for women either, choosing to uphold a strong masculine presence. The most feminine thing about her is her long hair, which is usually tied in bland and non decorative strings. Her favorite color is blue, and she will usually wear blue turtle neck blazers or military uniforms. She usually limits these when in Ba Sing Se, choosing to wear green versions of her usual wear for the sake of national pride. ABNORMALITIES | She has a large scar across her back as if she was slashed with lightning as a child. The faint remains of serious burn scars cover her hands as well, however, these are always hidden by gloves as is the one on her back. This led to a very strict training regimen. Ki Hye was the talented and fierce Earth Kingdom Princess. Her bending style is very strict and to the book with the exception of how she bends metal. Because of her strict training, Ki Hye often took more advanced lessons than her brother. Those rare times she saw him during their training was when they were working on more difficult forms of bending. Her brother was able to use sand, and Ki Hye thought that was the coolest thing in the world. However, no matter how hard she tried, Ki Hye couldn’t bring herself to control so many small bits of sand. Instead, she found aptitude for metal bending. In an attempt to spend more time with her brother, Ki Hye began to try and make a form of metal bending that used small metallic marbles in a similar fashion to sand bending. She was also trained with a sword, and she uses one that can be manipulated with metal bending. Her metal bending training did include traditional basics, however, she has adapted it to being able to make her own marbles and create a hail like metallic storm. Ki Hye is known for her speed, ferocity and strict style. WEAPONS | Ki Hye carries a metal sword at all times. Ki Hye resembled a delicate flower as a child, appearing harmless and ever so feminine. Her body was weak, but when she turned two, the girl was discovered to possess the ability to Earth Bend. Her natural talent was obvious, and she was to begin her training years before her brother did despite her fragile nature. Still, most of her early childhood memories are of the time between her classes with her brother, or listening to her brother cheer her on as she trained. All the while, Ki Hye watched along as her elder sibling was prepped and made ready to become the heir to the Earth Kingdom. Deep inside, she felt jealousy. Ki Hye would fantasize about her brother giving her the crown instead. At the age of eight, an infamous incident occurred in the streets of Ba Sing Se. In a stupid and rebellious attempt to leave the palace without guards, Ki Hye managed to convince her twin to venture, or rather sneak, outside along one day. She wanted to meet the people and see the city herself. They got deep in the city, wide and silly grins across their faces as they looked and admired the giant city. Eventually, they got to the zoo near the outer city walls. Once there, things took a sour turn. Someone noticed who they were. Ki Hye grabbed her brother’s hand and ran from the crowd, navigating into some back alleys to avoid the crowd. However, it was in the alleys that everything suddenly went black. When the twins awoke, they found themselves in shackles on a small metal boat in the middle of the lake near their city. Their kidnappers were Triad members who had decided to take the royal children for ransom. Ki Hye’s memories of the whole incident are fuzzy, as she lost a lot of blood due to events that occurred on the boat. Something happened and Jae Eun was about to be struck by one of the kidnappers. Ki Hye, using some pebbles from her pocket, struck the kidnapper with the rock using her bending. The bender did not react kindly to this, and in an attempt to get her to behave, one of the men grabbed Jae Eun and held a flaming hand toward his hair. Ki Hye panicked and ran at them, trying to pull the man away from her brother. Her hands were burnt by this action, but her brother was freed. Ki Hye went to push Jae Eun away, trying to get him away from the kidnappers. Filled with anger, the man lashed out, striking out with lightning. The attack hit Ki Hye’s back, throwing her across the room. She landed on her stomach, the world around her fading. As she began to lose consciousness, Ki Hye could hear Jae Eun’s panicked screams. Leaning up, Ki Hye remembered her lessons on metal bending. The teachers told her she was nowhere near ready nor old enough to begin her training in that field. However, she pushed her tiny and wounded body as adrenaline flooded her system. The boat began to distort and water leaks shot through the hull as the child’s earth bending wrecked havoc on a long beam that ran along the hull of the ship. The boat was ran aground in a desperate attempt from the kidnappers to escape. By then, Ki Hye couldn’t move. However, despite the blurring and fading world, she saw one of the men try to grab Jae from the wreckage of the ship. Her eyes widened and a scream left her lips. After that the world went black. Ki Hye didn’t wake up for two weeks. She had pushed herself too far. The talent that Ki Hye had displayed was the subject of rumors throughout the city. Most of these painted her as a child monster of some sorts. There were easy explanations for both occurrences however. The ship had been old, rusted and so easy to break that simply warping a beam let in a large amount of water, and the ground they ran onto was next to an unstable cave system. However, the damage was done, and the rumors spread like wildfire, getting grander and more bizarre with each retelling. When Ki Hye awoke, her father had already decided to use the rumors to their advantage. His daughter was to become a warrior of royal blood. The princess of the Earth Kingdom would become a feared bender throughout the world. Needless to say, her training was made even stricter. In the aftermath of the kidnapping, Ki Hye vowed to never put Jae Eun through something like that due to her own stupidity. She became his constant protector outside of classes. All the while, Ki Hye had become the sure fire second candidate for the throne of the Earth Kingdom. As she got older, Ki Hye’s name became more and more well known. She was the second in line for the throne, but she would never get it. Her elder sibling was being groomed for the throne. Ki Hye was being groomed to lead the military, but until she was old enough, she would serve as a symbol of the strength of the Earth Kingdom. That’s all she was, a flag to be woven at the enemy nations as a threat.

I only really have two things to say.

1) Just a reminder, prodigy does not mean "better than you, I win" in rp. Just reminding you in case.

2) I'm having a problem with your history because it kind of breaks two major points of what we know of the show. One being that no one really became stronger from losing control of themselves. Some might argue that Azula did, but she lost a lot of combat ability when she went insane. So much so that Zuko, who could barely lay a finger on her before, could beat her in a fight. Because he had control over himself. Aang nearly killed Katara in like... episode 4 or 5 because he was so mad about the Air Nomads. Losing consciousness is as good as losing control. Now on to my second point. Not even Toph, quite possibly the greatest metalbender in canon, could bend destroy a metal ship. She had to attack specific locations, like rudders, to cause destruction on a scale that was decent.

1- I'm well aware. I use prodigy in the term that she showed skills at a young age. By no means does that mean she's magically better than anyone else.
2- Ki Hye did not lose control of herself, rather, control of her bending. I believe something similarly happened with Katara in the first episode where she shattered a giant glacier? As for the second point, I never meant to imply that the ship was destroyed. Rather, that she started creating holes in the hull letting water in. I may have worded it incorrectly, but essentially, she was messing with some of the beams used to hold the ship's hull together to let water in. I also stated that the ship was old and rusted, so it would have been a bit easier to bend due to the less than sturdy nature of the boat. Would you like me to reword it?

1. Very good. I generally remind people of that when they toss the word "prodigy" around.

2. Katara wasn't losing consciousness. My point still stands. And the fact that you literally used the word "destroyed" in reference to what she did to the boat, but meant something else means that it needs rewording. Also, rust does not mean easy to bend. Rust means easy to break. Rust is corrosion. If you're going to go with your idea of what happened on the boat, I'd highly, highly, recommend you say exactly what she did and specify the size of the boat. Maybe say she was in the room with the pillars she compromised or she used the last of her consciousness to bend a hole in the lower part of the wall.

orz I think I finally got through what I meant to in the history. By "easy to bend" I mean it was easier to cause significant amounts of damage with an unrefined bending technique.
